Tic Tac Toe Challenge Meets Paper Pumpkin

Have I shared with you how much I adore Paper Pumpkin?  It’s a subscription box from Stampin Up!.  I used the Tic Tac Toe ChallengeJanuary box, Heartfelt Notes, to create my card for this week’s Tic Tac Toe Challenge, #40.

The board inspired so many ideas that it was hard to select a row.  I considered using multiple rows.  But since I was hosting my monthly “Friday Free For All” – a party where my Paper Pumpkin subscribers come over and work on any box they have – I decided I would use one of my unfinished boxes to complete this challenge.

I finally chose the diagonal row: Twine, Metallic, and Rhinestones.

Here is the card I created.

Tic Tac Toe Challenge - Paper Pumpkin Heartfelt Notes

The copper embossed hearts paper provided my theme and color scheme. Red was one of the options, but I didn’t use a bold sentiment for my card, so technically, I didn’t complete the additional row.  For the twine, I dug into my Paper Pumpkin leftovers for a bit of copper baker’s twine. It looks great, but it’s challenging to tie! The copper metal element is also on the banner with the sentiment.

Rhinestones are one of the easiest embellishments to use.  You can scatter them on almost any project to add a bit of sparkle. I used five rhinestones because an odd number makes a design more interesting.

I dragged out my retired heart punch to add the black and white striped heart and the Real Red heart stamped in matching ink with the XOXO stamp from the Heartfelt Notes box.  If you don’t have the punch, you could use either the Sweet and Sassy Framelits or the heart from the Wood Crate Framelits.

This was a great board and I had so much fun creating this card.
