It’s bittersweet when Stampin’ Up! releases a new catalog. I adore seeing the new colors added to the Stampin’ Up! palette, but I have to say goodbye to colors I love. This little tag celebrates two of the In-Colors that are leaving: Seaside Spray and Purple Posy. I paired these two with Gray Granite for a weathered soft vibe that I think works really well with the silver accents in the sentiment and the metallic trim ribbon.
The In-Colors Tag
This tag also features several retiring products, Floral Essence (stamp set and punch) for the flowers, leaves, and sentiment, Scalloped Tag punch, and Pinewood Planks embossing folder. I’ve never met an embossing folder I didn’t love because TEXTURE! But this one is particularly nice.
To make this tag, I started with a 2″x5-1/2″ strip of Seaside Spray. Next, I embossed it, punched the top with the Scalloped Tag punch, and rounded the bottom corners with the Detailed Trip punch. Then I stamped Purple Posy in Gray Granite ink. This flower needs two images punched out and layered together. I used my bone folder to add a touch of curl to the petals. The leaves are stamped in Gray Granite on Gray Granite card stock. The sentiment is heat embossed in silver and punched with the Everyday Label punch. I put the flower on Dimensionals. And lastly, I added the Metallic trim ribbon and a few Epoxy droplets.
This would be a great gift tag for someone special. If you’d like to get your hands on these fantastic products before they’re gone, use my April shopping code or contact me with questions.
