Tasteful Touches of Texture Note Card

Note card featuring Stampin' Up! Tasteful Touches stamp set and dies and the In Good Taste designer series paper that is full of texture

Today, the card I have for you is an ode to the lovely collection of paper in the In Good Taste suite. If you follow me at all, you know I love texture. Visual interest adds so much richness and depth to a card. And this paper makes it so easy.

Starting with a base of Very Vanilla, I added the paper that looks like reclaimed wood planks as my base layer. Then I added three strips of 3/4″ pieces on the diagonal: a wood grain, a tweed, and the pattern that reminds me of a man’s sweater.

Next, I added another layer of Very Vanilla, this time with the paper that has that vanilla nubby texture. I’m telling you—so much texture! I cut the shapes for the multi-layered sentiment using the dies that came in the suite. Those dies are going to see a workout in my craft room long after they retire (not this year). The shapes are fantastic for sentiments and stack so well. I stamped the sentiment from Enjoy the Moment in Early Espresso.

Lastly, I stamped the flower from the Tasteful Touches set on Very Vanilla using Early Espresso. I added a touch of Rococo Rose with the Stamp n’ Blends right in the center. That’s a small taste of the patterns in this set of DSP. It’s a must-have.

I hope you’re finding ways to add visual interest to your cards with texture. If not, give it a try. I have some tips on my Textures page. Until next time, happy crafting!
