Corner Bouquet

More Oh So Ombre? Check! More Saleabration products? Check. I’ve got both for you today with this quick but elegant card you can make in a matter of moments.

The Simple Things

When I made my Ombre Moments card, I had a piece of the Rococo Rose ombre paper remaining. Perfectly sized for the front of a card, I had to do something with it. This card started to take shape. I love silhouette cards, but I wanted something lighter. In this case, I used the Corner Bouquet stamp set available in the Saleabration catalog with white heat embossing instead of dark ink.

I layered that onto a base of Rococo Rose card stock. The sentiment is from the Enjoy the Moments stamp set. I had the banner left over from a Paper Pumpkin, but I could have cut the same shape using the Stitched Nested Labels dies. I used Rococo Rose ink since the card is basically monochromatic.

For a final touch, I punched out the dragonfly using Dandy Garden DSP and the Dragonflies punch in the Jan-June 2021 Mini Catalog. One trick you can use with the dragonfly: put a dimensional under each of the wings close to the base of the body. Use your bone folder to give each wing a little bit of a curve at the end and add a single glue dot to the widest part of the body. This gives the dragonfly more of a three-dimensional appearance rather than being flat on the card.

And that’s it. No bling, no embellishments, no sparkle. The card is simple and elegant. Hope you’re trying something different with your supplies. Let me know if you need more, I’m happy to help.

Happy crafting!
