Today I’m sharing three different cards with you, none of which I designed, that use the Enjoy the Moment stamp coming out in January. The first two are swaps I received from my upline and a sister stamper. The last card is a case I did during the Stampin’ Up! On Stage event. I love seeing how different designers use the same stamp set and create completely different cards. First a bit about this set, it has eight seed pod images from various plants and five versatile sentiments. The botanical feel of the images is so inspiring. I expect you’ll see another post with this stamp set in the future.
A Fun Fold Moment

The first card I have to share is a fun fold from Lynn. The base is a 7″x 5-1/2″ piece of Mossy Meadow card stock that is scored on the long side at 2-3/4″ to create the front flap. Lynn stamped the inside piece of Whisper White using Basic Gray and put the seed pod in the lower right corner so it peeked out and the sentiment in the upper left. There is still plenty of space for a note.
Next, she stamped the front flap using the same image and the same ink. This adds a really nice visual texture to card front. The focal point start with a 2-5/8″x 3-7/8″ piece of Basic Gray card stock. She layered on a piece of DSP that had an interesting edge and a touch of Cherry Cobbler. This small touch of color really pops. The poppy pods are stamped in Basic Gray on a 2-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of Whisper White. She used Dimensionals to add it to the front flap and finished off this classic look with some Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim. I love the way the fun fold updates a classic design.
A Brush of Color

The next card I’m sharing with you is a design from my upline, Kathy. She is a talented and experienced crafter and it really shows in her designs. She started with a standard base of Just Jade card stock and added a layer of Basic Black cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″. Next, she added a layer of Whisper White cut at 3-3/4″ x 5″. It’s stamped with another sentiment from the set in Memento Black. The touches of black anchor this colorful design.
The squares on the front of this gorgeous card are done by heat embossing some of the seed pod images in white on Whisper White card stock. She cut them out with the Stitched Squares dies. Then she used the new Blending Brushes that are coming out to color the background and make the image pop. The squares are inked in Bumblebee, Shaded Spruce, Just Jade, and Terracotta Tile. Each embossed and blended image is mounted on a Layering Squares cut piece of card stock in the coordinating color and then added to the card using Dimensionals. The final touch was an InColor enamel dot. I love the use of the white heat embossing and the stunning color palatte.
The Final CASE

The final card is a quick CASE (Copy And Share Everything) I did during the Stampin’ Up event. I love these events because you get your hands on the upcoming products early. This CASE uses Misty Moonlight as the base. Then I cut a 4″x4″ piece of Misty Moonlight and stamped it in the same color ink. The bit of background texture it adds without distracting the eye from the poppy seedpods. I stamped that in Soft Suede on a 3″x4-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla and sponged the edges. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in Just Jade and punched it out with a circle punch. For a quick embellishment, I added a small piece of burlap which is retired. You could substitute some faux suede trim, some linen thread, or even a length of Denim ribbon instead.
I hope you’re getting excited about the mini catalog. The Saleabration will start soon too. In the meantime, I hope you have lots of wonderful moments to enjoy as we end the year with family and friends, holidays, and gratitude for our blessings. Happy crafting!
