Time for Tea – CASE

The 2018 Annual Catalog is coming to a close. If you’re like me, there are some sets in there that you’ve been pining for or procrastinating about purchasing. Times up! The Time for Tea bundle was one of those sets that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it, but waited to order. But, it’s time!

I have a CASE for you. The inspiration card was designed by Clarie Daly. You can see her beautiful card in Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride here: https://clairedaly.typepad.com/sisterhood_of_the_travell/2018/09/stampin-up-time-for-tea.html

My CASE (Copy and Share Everything)

My color palette included Very Vanilla, Bermuda Bay, Flirty Flamingo, and Pool Party. I liked the layers in Claire’s card but wanted something a little faster to make, so I substituted the Tea Room DSP for the embossed layer. To frame the gorgeous paper, I mounted it on Bermuda Bay cardstock.

Then, instead of another layer of DSP with punched corners, I decided to use a Flirty Flamingo Colored Doily. I like the detail and texture it adds without hiding the Tea Room paper.

My banner is a piece of Very Vanilla cut to 2.5″ x 4″. I stamped the Time for Tea stamps to add the leafy sprays at the top and bottom in Memento ink so that I could color them in with my Pool Party Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment is from the same set, using Flirty Flamingo ink.

Next, I added a teacup also a stamp from the set. I die cut it using the Spot of Tea dies that came in the bundle. It’s colored in with my Blends and adhered it with Dimensionals. I added a flower stamped and cut using the bundle and colored in with my Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends.

Finally, for embellishments, I added three pearls, two in the top spray and one on the flower. The ribbon bow is also from the suite. It is Bermuda Bay ribbon with metallic copper edging. The picture can’t do this ribbon justice. It comes in a two pack, Tea Room Ribbon Combo with a white and copper companion spool.

This would make a great thinking of you or thank you card. If you’d like to purchase any of the Stampin’ Up! products here, please consider shopping with me.
