Notes of Kindness – Whip it up Wednesday

The Notes of Kindness kit in the Annual Catalog includes everything to make twenty gorgeous thank you notecards. The stamps, with bold sentiments, a stamping block, adhesives, and even an ink spot. The cards are beautiful and come together in minutes. They’re perfect for recognizing gift from a bridal or baby shower.

I used most of my kit for a card buffet that I held recently to make cards for our armed service members. I had some of the cards remaining, and I decided to see what I could do with them using leftover pieces from past Paper Pumpkin kits.

Friends of a Feather

The Friends of a Feather Paper Pumpkin had lots of leafy punch-outs. The Fresh Figs pieces complimented the succulent preprinted accent. I also used self-adhesive sequins from the kit and finally added some vellum pieces which may have come from the August 2018 box or possibly an earlier one. You know I save everything. I also stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig too.

More Vellum

I liked the vellum as an accent so much, I dug further into my stash and found some Lemon Lime Twist dyed elements and some more delicately cut elements. This card used pearls from the kit instead of the sequins. I like how the two projects are so different. The first is bold, almost masculine and this one is more airy and feminine.

Fussy Cut Flowers

I still had a card base left, but no flower cut outs. Also, I didn’t have the Soft Sea Foam sticker for the layers under the sentiment. I liked the succulent image from the other cards, and I found some retired DSP that included the perfect elements. I think this idea would work well with any good sized flower image, either cut from designer paper or stamped and then either fussy cut or die cut. I also used a strip of paper from the Tranquil Textures DSP pack. I stamped the little background image in the kit using Sahara Sand. And, even though I didn’t get my sentiment on the card perfectly straight, I’m quite happy with the results.

Kits, whether Paper Pumpkin, or from the catalog make crafting so simple. In a few minutes you can have stunning projects to make someone’s day a little brighter. Happy Crafting.
