Feeling Scrappy

I saw a post the other day by a crafter who was frustrated with her collection of die cuts and papers and scraps that she wasn’t using. I’m a huge saver of every little piece. And I do use my scraps frequently. But I wondered if others feel the same way. Overwhelmed. Uninspired. Well, we can’t have that! So, I”m going to post the occasional “scrap card”. I’m going to use retired items and all the bits of ephemera that are produced by our crafting efforts and make some beautiful cards to inspire you.

Today’s card is based on circles. I used Layering Circle dies. You could use those or punches or even draw a line around a quarter and cut it out. I used a pink color theme to create my ultra feminine birthday card. The inspiration for this card came from two places. The first is a card posted on SplitcoastStampers back in 2014. The second was the butterflies that I used on the card. These came unexpectedly with a Christmas card I received this year. I laughed because my sister crafter had probably tucked some extra punched images away in an envelope to save to use later and lost track of them.

Well, she can rest easy. I put her gift to good use.

My use of a circle theme was even captured in the sentiment – ” I love when your birthday comes around.” – perfect for my pun-loving heart.

I hope the New Year is filled with inspiration to be creative. Hugs!
