Warm Hearted Holiday

The Holiday catalog is sunsetting. The last day to order is January 2, 2019. Today I have two cards for you using the Warm Hearted stamp set that is available with a qualifying purchase or as the hostess of a party. The set has some fun graphic stamps, but the thing I like most is the bold sentiments. It’s easy to create a dramatic card with some pretty paper and simple stamping. I’ll show you what I mean.

Stampin' Up! Warm Hearted Thanks

The first card uses a piece of Petal Promenade DSP on a base of Mossy Meadow. I used the Stamparatus to do some generational stamping. All that means, is that I inked once and stamped multiple times before I re-inked the stamp. This gives an ombre effect to the card. The ink is Gorgeous Grape. I embellished the card with a bit of the Whisper White Tulle ribbon. Simple and beautiful.

For fun, I lined the flap of the envelope with the remaining scrap of DSP left over from cutting my background piece. I’m obsessed with lining my envelopes, It’s hard to resist, especially with such stunning paper.

Stampin' Up! Warm Hearted New Year

The second card uses the Broadway Bound Specialty DSP. When I received this paper in my order this summer, I knew that I would want to use it for the holidays. The gold foil, fun midcentury modern patterns, scream holiday to me.

This card uses a Basic Black base. I heat embossed the sentiment in Gold, but it would work well in Memento Tuxedo Black or Black Staz-on too. I cut the sentiment out with my Stitched Shapes dies. Embellished with a loop of Black Satin ribbon for contrast and a few rhinestones for a little more sparkle and it’s done. A simple but elegant card you can send to anyone.
