A calm Christmas. I know that’s what I wish for, a quiet, peaceful holiday. The Peaceful Noel stamp set is so lovely. It has all the things that will make you use it time and again. Three large holiday sentiments, a tiny Merry Christmas. A couple of graphics, one is perfect for detailing the corners of a card and plenty of botanical images that can be used throughout the year. It even has a watercolor wash image.
For today’s card, I took inspiration from a demonstrator in Australia, Catherine Proctor. She did a beautiful random spray with the botanical images. You can see her card here. She used the colors that match the Joyous Noel suite. I had an image in my head that involved a lighter palette.
I used Berry Burst for the sentiment, and then a combination of Powder Pink, Mint Macaron, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand inks.
The card base is Crumb Cake. I used a retired piece of glitter paper but the new Rose Glitter paper in the Annual Catalog would be ideal for this color palette. Once again, I relied on a combination of the Stitched Shapes and the Layering Ovals to shape the sentiment layers. These two die sets are my workhorses.
Finally, instead of the Fine Tip glue for sparkle, I used pearls.
This set lends itself to any color combination. I was even tempted to try it in a combination of blue and silver. See what speaks to you.
