I’m playing with the Paper Players again today. They had a wonderful sketch challenge this week.
It inspired me to work with the Dashing Along DSP again. It’s retired, hence the #TBT post. But it was ideal for the concept I had in my head to use the Striped Burlap Ribbon and finally get out the stamps from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box.
I used Crumb Cake for the card base to coordinate with the ribbon. I added a layer of Garden Green embossed with the Basket Weave dynamic embossing folder. The color coordinates with the DSP and the embossing added texture. The DSP is two sides of the same sheet of paper. I wanted the layers to stand out a little so I mounted them on slightly larger Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
The sentiment is stamped in Garden Green and punched with the Christmas Traditions punch and mounted on the card with Dimensionals. Nothing too fancy, but I am happy with the result. Thanks to the Paper Players for a great sketch!

I’m glad you like the sketch, Colleen. Anne Marie came up with a goodie! It’s perfect for showing off that glorious paper and the burlap ribbon works a treat as the horizontal element. Thanks for joining us at The Paper Players this week.
Such a beautiful mix of papers, Colleen! I love your use of the ribbon as the horizontal element…so clever! Thank you for sharing with The Paper Players!
This is just delightful! I love that little image and the striped ribbon along with those pretty papers makes for a wonderful Christmas card! Thanks for playing with our Paper Players sketch this week!
