Fall has finally arrived in Albuquerque. And that means color! The hot air balloons are filling the sky when the weather cooperates. Leaves are changing from brilliant green to warm reds and golden yellows. I love this time of year. I was able to break out a sweater yesterday.
Today I have a simple card for you that is dressed for fall as well. I used the Accented Blooms stamp which was made to work with the Tailored Tag punch. For this card, I started with a base of Soft Suede. I used Very Vanilla cardstock as the card front and on the interior of the card. I embossed the floral stamp in Copper. I knew I wanted to color in the image with my Stampin Write markers. The embossed edges make it a snap to color inside the lines. The fall scheme I chose is Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Petal Pink, Merry Merlot, and Poppy Parade.
The sentiment from the same set is inked in Poppy Parade. I lifted it using Dimensionals. I wasn’t completely happy with the amount of empty space – I struggle with the clean and simple look. But, the set has a few little accent stamps, one of which is this sweet vine. I stamped it around the edge in Old Olive without being too fussy about the placement of each image. I liked the eclectic fall garden feel that it added to the card.
Simple, pretty and easy to whip up for someone you need to thank. And speaking of thanks, thank you for visiting and letting me share what I love with you.
