Whip up a Picnic in Paradise

I’m still having fun with the Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin box.  I have a couple of fun options for you today and I’ll probably have a couple for you tomorrow before I move on to the gorgeous August box.

Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin with Chicken WireThis first card takes advantage of a new embellishment layer in the Holiday Catalog that is open to orders TODAY!  The Country Lane Suite has Chicken Wire die-cut foil sheets along with a whole lot of other fun stuff.

Although fruit is a summery accent, apples mean harvesting, and harvesting means Autumn, at least for me.  I love the country accent of the chicken wire, especially against the Wood Textures DSP.  I used one of the vellum squares from the kit to add yet another texture and also to anchor the fruit to the tag.

This would be a great card to include with a birthday basket or a welcome to the neighborhood gift.

The second card I have for you is another quick and easyPlaid Alternate Picnic Paradise Paper Pumpkin card that takes advantage of the Under the Mistletoe DSP in the Annual Catalog.  This package of designer paper is so versatile.  I suspect I will be buying another pack before the holidays arrive.

I used Thick Whisper White cardstock for the base. The DSP layer.    A couple of punches, one from Wood Textures DSP and one in Whisper White.  I layered on two blueberries from the kit with the leaf stickers.  A twine bow, also from the kit and the sentiment stamped in Blueberry Bushel.  I did drop a retired gem on sentiment.  A Faceted Gem would have been a good option too.
