Time for another Beautiful Baubles card – in case you didn’t get enough on Tuesday. This one uses the retired Soft Sky paper and ink. I’m a fan of how it looks with silver embossing and contrasted with Night of Navy, so I figured what the heck.
The card base is Thick Whisper White. In addition to the Silver heat embossed snowflake type stamp from the set, I also used Soft Sky ink on the Soft Sky layer. I’m sure this would have been just as gorgeous with the new Balmy Blue, but I was feeling rebellious.
The Baubles were made using one of the dies from the bundle as the overlay on a 2-1/4″ circle punched from Silver foil or Night of Navy depending on which bauble you’re looking at. For some reason, the mix-match seems to work, adding depth and interest to the card. I used retired washi tape to create the thin silver strands that “suspend” the ornaments. Twine would have worked just as well.
The sentiment is from the set and is heat embossed in Silver. For the final touch, I added Night of Navy bows using the retired Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon. The Silver metallic edged ribbon in the current catalog would be a good substitute. What’s in your stash that would work well with the new Holiday catalog items?
