Picnicking with the Paper Players

This week’s challenge from the Paper Players was made for the July Paper Pumpkin box, Picnic Paradise. http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/ The mission was Clean and Simple with Fruits and Veggies.  The theme is so timely.  The farmer’s markets are in full swing. We’re packing lunch boxes for the kiddos and trying to keep it healthy.  And for me, going back to school always brings to mind apples. An apple for the teacher. An apple a day.  In years past we would even make a special trek to an apple farm and then spend a few days canning applesauce.  Needless to say, my card for this challenge included a lovely red apple.

Apple alternate from Picnic Paradise Paper PumpkinI used a Thick Whisper White card base.  A layer of the Granny Apple Green checked paper included in the kit anchored the apple. I layered the cut out using Dimensionals on the vellum check over a 3″x3″ piece of Crumb Cake also from the kit.  I stamped the sentiment in Granny Apple Green to match the checked paper.

Super easy. Clean and Simple.  Now, who’s ready for pie?
