More Heartfelt Love Notes

I finished the January 2018 Heartfelt Love Notes box the other night.  It wasn’t my plan to share any of them, but that’s what we do, we share.  I used card sketches as my inspiration.  I also used scraps and stash stuff.  Because why are we buying it if we aren’t using it?

Painted with Love Heartfelt Love Notes Paper Pumpkin Alternative

This first card is somewhat eclectic.  I love the Van Gogh quote from the retired Just Add Text stamp set.  Adding a quote to a card always ups the level of sophistication.  I also used a scrap of the retired DSP Painted with Love.  If you bought it and haven’t used it – Cut The Paper!

Scraps from the Flirty Flamingo banner stickers worked for a  diamond-ish pattern on the left edge of the card. The background for the quote was stamped in Blushing Bride using the Love What You Do stamp set.

Very Vintage January 2018 Paper Pumpkin Alternative

For the second card, I dry embossed the white note panel from the kit.  I used the retired Lovely Lace, but Climbing Vine, Garden Trellis or Quilt Top would have worked just as well.  I cut the heart embossed cardstock from the kit with a Layering Oval framelit. The sentiment is from Very Vintage. It is a gorgeous hostess set – don’t miss out. I stamped the back of one of the precut banners from the kit because I had messed up the other side, the foil edge would have been nice, but it worked out fine.

I used one of the vellum banners for additional interest and a piece of the included ribbon. The wood embellishments are retired.  I don’t remember if they came in a kit or the Occasions catalog. Die cuts would work too.

Blended Seasons Heartfelt Love Notes Paper Pumpkin AlternateFinally, I opened up my brand new Blended Seasons stamp set.  The flower image just begs to be hand colored.  I’m going to be doing more with this limited edition stamp set in the very near future.  It’s only available through the end of August or when supplies run out, whichever is first,  so don’t procrastinate.

I used the flower image to create texture on the card base and as the focal image. Blends, including the new Call Me Clover duo, worked well on the panel from the kit.  I used circle punches for the sentiment and the Flirty Flamingo.  A fairly simple card that I think works well. It helps that I love coloring with the SU Blends.  I can pretend I’m an artist.

Hope you’re having a lovely Sunday and making something beautiful.
