Two for Tuesday – Sneak Peek

I have a wonderful duo for you today.  One card was a make and take at On Stage 2018, and the other I made from the supplies we divvied up at the end of the show.  You get a sneak peek at a few of the products that will be in the new catalog!

These two cards were made using the new Delightfully Detailed Note Cards.  They are Very Vanilla with washes of Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss to create four designs.  Yes, I typed those come-back color names correctly.  Two wonderful colors are returning to the color family as part of a color/ink pad overhaul.  The new ink formula is fantastic, super juicy pads but no foaming so you get a perfect image easily.

The cards are 3.5″ by 5″.  I layered pieces of the Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty paper on top.  This paper is stunning but fragile.  Handle with care.  It’s so worth it for the texture it adds to the card. The paper is Whisper White on one side and Very Vanilla on the other.  And just “Wow”.

Delightfully Detailed Notecard from On Stage 2018The make and take card features accents of the new In Color cardstock in Grapefruit Grove and a piece of Polka Dot Tulle ribbon.  The sentiment is from the new stamp set,  Detailed with Love. It was stamped in Mint Macaron.

The stamp set will be available in the new catalog bundled with the Detailed Trio punch. This is three punches in one.  We used it to round the corners and add the accent to the Very Vanilla sentiment layer.  Such an easy way to add details to the card. The last thing we did was add some Faceted Dots as embellishments also in Mint Macaron and also in the new catalog.  June 1 can’t get here fast enough!

I had the Blackberry Bliss card base and the punch that was used along with the laser-cut paper.  I wondered if I could come close to replicating the card we made with the supplies I have with me.

Instead of Grapefruit Grove, I used Copper foil paper.  I used a bigger layer for the sentiment which is found in the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set.  A little flower from the same set filled some of the extra space that I needed to make the sentiment fit.  The embellishments are White Perfect Accents that I colored with the Dark Rich Razzleberry Blend (there are more colors coming in the new catalog!).  The ribbon is a bit of scrap I had – no idea from where – and it was okay, but only because I’m so limited. Can’t wait to get a spool of the Polka-Dot Tulle!

Here is a final picture of the two cards together.
